What is decoy flocking?
Decoy Flocking is adding fibers to your decoy to eliminate glare and shine from both new and old decoys!
Do the decoys look better when they are flocked?
Yes! Not only does flocking eliminate glare but give the decoys a realistic looking feathered texture!
Is flocking decoys hard?
Flocking Decoys is very easy. If you can apply paint with a brush you can flock decoys.
Is Fowl Flocker Decoy Flocking as good as other kits on the market?
Yes! We sell flocking kits with nylon fibers just like the most reputable flocking kits. There are some who sell there kits using rayon fibers which will not keep color or withstand wear of weather and harsh hunting conditions.
Why is Fowl Flocker so much more affordable than others?
We sell enough fibers to flock about 4x as much as our competitors at the same price as there kits. The biggest reason is we tell you what adhesive/paint to purchase rather than supply it at huge mark ups.
I bought some factory flocked decoys and the flocking wore off leaving shiny white plastic showing. Can you help?
Yes you can use our flocking to reflock the the worn areas or you can even flock over the factory flocked areas.
Does the flocking kit come with glue?
No we do not supply glue. We recommend using Rustoleum brush on paint with our kits, Rustoleum can be purchased from any hardware or home store for under $10.00/ quart. But we do have it available for those who prefer to just buy it through us.
Why Rustoleum paint?
Rustleum paint come in color matched colors so if there is wear on the flocked area it will still be the same color of the flocking not a white as many factory flocked decoys. Rustleum is also is as durable, weather resistant and flexible if not more so than any adhesive available and much less expensive.
How much paint/adhesive do I need?
The rule if thumb is 2 ounces of paint/adhesive for every 1 ounce of flocking fibers.
